CERC plans to launch “Integrity Idol”, a nationwide campaign run by citizens in search for honest government officials.
Integrity Idol is a global campaign that started in Nepal in 2014, then reached Liberia in 2015, Pakistan and Mali in 2016 and has now plan to set its foot in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). As the name suggests, this campaign is an initiative taken to recognize and honor those civil servants of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who have been working with integrity and veracity.
This campaign aims to generate debate around the idea of integrity and demonstrate the importance of honesty, personal responsibility and accountability as well as inspire a new generation to be more effective public servants. The belief that the system is tainted and blemished by the wrong doers and the same cannot be fixed, needs to be uprooted.
