Heri Bitamala, Founder CEO

Heri Bitamala is the Founder CEO of the CERC. His background has included roles across several fields including anti-corruption, equity and social inclusion, technology, health, and education. For over 8 years, he led programs and projects in South-Kivu, North-Kivu and Kinshasa and conducted research on issues of corruption and governance, youth participation, equity, and social inclusion, among others.

Ms. Maganga Masembe Eden, Programme and Communication Officer

Eden is goal-oriented women with a passion to end customs fraud that facilitates the entry of drugs and expired food and pharmaceutical products into the country. She holds a master’s degree in food chemistry from the Catholic University of East Africa.

She is enthusiastic about storytelling, particularly telling stories of success and impact from previously disadvantaged and marginalised groups. She believes that telling positive stories is an important aspect of our work which brings about hope and a voice to communities that feel voiceless.

Ms. Matyabo Sifa Muriel, Advocacy and Policy Engagement Officer

Ms Sifa is a lawyer with a passion for social justice and anti-corruption. She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa.  Sifa joined CERC in July 2021 to attract broad buy-in from government authorities and other non-state actors to support our anti-corruption and integrity building projects.

Ms Sifa is enthusiastic about building a responsible, transparent, and corruption-free Congo.

Musa Nzamu Jonathan, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer

Jonathan is a vibrant, resourceful, and goal-oriented individual. He is a graduate of Public and Private Law from Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL GOMA). With over 4 years of experience in implementing justice and rule of law programmes, Jonathan joined CERC in October 2020 to support the implementation of transparency and accountability policies in the DRC’s education, health and justice sectors. He is enthusiastic about building a new generation of active, responsible, accountable citizens.

Ms. Wivine Byamungu, Finance and Resources Officer

Wivine is a Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of experience managing finances of companies and non-profit organizations. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the Université Protestante du Congo. He soon got more involved with CERC and learned about building integrity within organizations and the government institutions.

Muzigirwa Muyongane Idée, Logistics Assistant

Mr Muzigirwa is a young and experienced graduate of International Relations at the Université Pédagogique Nationale and of Business Management at Institut Supérieur de Gestion des Affaires. Mr Muzigirwa’s motivations lie in his desire to build change and transparent governance in DRC. Before joining CERC in December 2019, he spends 4 years working with Fondation Chirezi in Kinshasa in relief and development programs–acquiring knowledge of various forms of program and administrative management.
