Heri Bitamala, Executive Director
Heri Bitamala is the Founder CEO of the CERC. His background has included roles across several fields, including anti-corruption, equity and social inclusion, technology, health, and education. For over 8 years, he led programs and projects in South Kivu, North Kivu and Kinshasa. He researched corruption and governance issues, youth participation, equity, and social inclusion.
The Executive Director manages the Management Team, which includes :
- the Finance and Resources Manager,
- the Programme Manager,
- the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager, and
- the Administration and Corporate Services Manager
Ms Wivine Byamungu, Finance and Resources Manager
Ms Wivine is an experienced Accountant with over 5 years of experience managing finances in the non-profit sector. She holds a Master of Science in Accounting from the Université Protestante Nationale. She soon got more involved with CERC and learned about building integrity within organizations and government institutions.
Musa Nzamu Jonathan, Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager
Jonathan is a vibrant, resourceful, and goal-oriented individual. He is a graduate of Public and Private Law from Université Libre des Pays des Grands Lacs (ULPGL GOMA). With over 4 years of experience in implementing justice and rule of law programmes, Jonathan joined CERC in October 2020 to support the implementation of transparency and accountability policies in the DRC’s education, health and justice sectors.
He is enthusiastic about building a new generation of active, responsible, accountable citizens.
Ms Matyabo Sifa Muriel, Youth Facilitator and Mentor
Ms Sifa is a lawyer with a passion for social justice and anti-corruption. She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Kinshasa.
Sifa joined the USAID-funded Youth Excel program in July 2021 to support young leaders and youth-led and youth-serving organizations in Kinshasa to conduct quality implementation research; use data and learnings to improve their own cross-sectoral, positive youth development programs.
Ms Sifa is enthusiastic about building a responsible, transparent, and corruption-free Congo.
Mizizi Philippe, Youth Facilitator and Mentor
Mr. Philippe is a young innovator with a passion for research and data analysis. He joined CERC in April 2021 to support the implementation of the Youth Excel program in Kinshasa.
Youth Excel is a 13-month program that aims to empower and support youth and youth organizations in Kinshasa to conduct quality implementation research and to use the data and learnings to improve their own cross-sectoral positive youth development programs.
AYAGIRWE BATUMIKE Gloire, Officer, Advocacy, Communication and Policy Engagement
Mr. Gloire holds a Master degree of Law from the University of Kinshasa. Prior to joining CERC in April 2022 as Advocacy, Communication and Policy Engagement Officer, Mr. Gloire gained extensive experience in program management and communication in several national organizations in Kinshasa and eastern DRC.
Ms. Mafuta Mundele Christelle, Education Officer
Ms. Christelle Mafuta holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kinshasa. Before joining CERC in April 2022, she spent the last three years as a consultant for several programs in the field of education.
Ms. Christelle is passionate about approaches that aim to improve the quality of educational services.
BOKAK’O MONGU Orman-Neville, Education Officer
Mr Orman Neville is an independent researcher with a passion for good governance and human rights.
He joined the CERC team in April 2022 as Education Officer to support the implementation of the “Students Acting for Accountability and Quality of Education in DRC” program in 3 municipalities of Kinshasa.
